Norway and Iraq are ready to start their FIFA World Cup 2026 campaigns on Tuesday, as they meet in a Group I encounter.
Norway heads into the match in excellent form following an impressive qualification campaign. They confirmed their place at the tournament with a commanding 4-1 win away to Italy. Their recent friendly matches highlighted their attacking strength, including a 3-1 victory over Sweden. Although they were held to a 1-1 draw by Morocco, they remain unbeaten in their last three games and carry strong momentum into the opener.

Örjan Nyland will start in goal, with a defensive unit consisting of Julian Ryerson, Kristoffer Ajer, Torbjørn Heggem, and David Møller Wolfe.
In midfield, Sander Berge and Fredrik Aursnes will provide balance and support alongside Ødegaard, completing a strong and talented lineup.
Possible Norway starting XI: Nyland; Ryerson, Ajer, Heggem, Wolfe; Odegaard, Berge, Aursnes; Sorloth, Haaland, Nusa
