According to L'Équipe, meteorologist Guillaume Séchet puts the thunderstorm risk near Gillette Stadium, Foxborough, at 20% for Norway v France at the World Cup. Kick-off is 21:00 in France and 15:00 in Massachusetts on Friday.

France were heavily delayed against Iraq, the match stretching beyond four hours because of nearby storms. This time the fixture may avoid severe disruption.

Around 16:30, Séchet, a BFM TV presenter and Meteo-villes.com founder, said a band of storms was set to pass to the north of Boston. Gillette Stadium sits to the south of the city.

He added that showers could affect the area during play, although the chance of a stoppage appears lower than last time.

As things stand, he assesses a 20% chance of the match being halted. Before France v Iraq, he had put the risk at 60%.
