The first order of business will be appointing a permanent head coach, and all signs point toward Michael Carrick’s confirmation. Afterwards, INEOS will start working on new signings, but Jason Wilcox and Co. are already laying the groundwork.
At this early stage, a plethora of potential Man Utd targets are being floated, and many of them play in the Premier League.
And with Bournemouth enjoying an exceptional campaign that may even land them a spot in the Champions League, some of their players have attracted interest from M16.

According to MUFC insider Zayn, the Red Devils held preliminary talks with the Cherries for Adam Scott, Tyler Adams, and Eli Junior Kroupi. The source insists that all three players are well-liked by Man Utd.
With Casemiro leaving the club and Manuel Ugarte placed on the market, the emphasis this summer will be on the midfield revamp. Therefore, it is no surprise to see so many central midfielders linked with a move to Old Trafford.
While neither Scott nor Adams is considered a first choice, they could represent cost-efficient solutions compared to the likes of Elliot Anderson and Sandro Tonali, whose price tags are north of £100 million.
A longtime Man Utd target, Scott is a 22-year-old box-to-box midfielder who rose through the ranks of Guernsey and Bristol City, before joining Bournemouth in 2023 for £20 million. He has been called up for England’s first team but has yet to make his bow.
On the other hand, Adams operates in a deeper role, mainly as a No.6, making him a more natural replacement for Casemiro. The 27-year-old USMNT international also joined the Cherries in 2023 following a stint at Leeds United.
Finally, Kroupi has been one of the best revelations of the Premier League campaign. The 19-year-old Frenchman has been mostly deployed as a striker this season, but he can play almost anywhere in the final third, including as an attacking midfielder and a left winger.

Therefore, the Lorient native can add depth to United’s attacking department, especially if Joshua Zirkzee ends up leaving the club.
It remains to be seen if there will be concrete developments on any of these three fronts in the coming days or weeks.
