Nuno Tavares shines in take on index, Serie A stars better than Mbappe | OneFootball

Nuno Tavares has had a sensational start to his Lazio career and is third in Europe’s top five leagues take on index for successful dribbles, as several Serie A stars have done better than Kylian Mbappé.

The CIES Football Observatory collates a series of statistics and comes out with reports analysing the performances of players and teams around the globe.

This week they have crunched the numbers to create the take on index, computed on a sale of 100 from the frequency of successful dribbles.

These statistics only refer to the domestic league matches and players who featured for at least 360 minutes of football this season.

West Ham’s Mohammed Kudus is top with a take on index of 92.6, followed by Iliman Ndiaye of Everton on 87.3, but Lazio wing-back Nuno Tavares completes the podium on 86.8.

The Portuguese player has had a remarkable start to his Serie A career at Lazio, contributing five assists in five games.

Serie A is present again in fourth place with Napoli star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia on 86.5, above Chidera Ejuke of Sevilla on 86.4 and Real Madrid’s Ballon d’Or contender Vinicius Junior with 86.2.

More Serie A players in the list are Fiorentina full-back Dodo with 85.0, Kenan Yildiz at Juventus with 82.6 and Rafael Leao at Milan with 82.2.

They are all higher up than Real Madrid top player Mbappé, who has a take on index of just 82.1 and is 17th overall.
