Odegaard Gets 8, Trossard With 7 | Arsenal Players Rated In Hard-Fought Win Vs Brighton

Arsenal welcomed Brighton and Hove Albion at the Emirates Stadium earlier today as they hoped to earn a good result at home in the Premier League. The Gunners made a great start to the contest and got their noses ahead in the 14th minute when Martin Odegaard found the back of the net. Mikel Arteta’s men went into the half-time break 1-0 up on the scoreline.
Georginio Rutter scored an unfortunate own goal in the 52nd minute before Diego Gomez got a goal back for the Seagulls in the 64th minute. The contest finished with Arsenal securing a hard-fought 2-1 win at the Emirates.
Let’s take a look at how each Arsenal player fared during the clash against the Seagulls.
He made one good save at the back but failed to keep a clean sheet.
RB: Declan Rice – 7/10
Rice was a positive influence at both ends of the pitch.
CB: William Saliba – 6.5/10
He cleared the danger when needed and did enough to restrict the opposition to just one goal.
CB: Piero Hincapie – 6.5/10
Hincapie got stuck in with some solid tackles and was tidy with his passing.

LB: Myles Lewis-Skelly – 6/10
He cleared the danger when he could, but offered very little going forward.
CM: Martin Odegaard – 8/10
Odegaard was a constant menace in the final third and managed to score the opener in the 14th minute.
CM: Mikel Merino – 6.5/10
He anchored the midfield well and made one good chance going forward.
CM: Martin Zubimendi – 7/10
Zubimendi was a positive influence at both ends of the field.
RW: Bukayo Saka – 8/10
Saka caused a lot of problems for his marker and has got an assist to show for his efforts.
ST: Viktor Gyokeres – 6.5/10
He was not shy of having a strike at goal but failed to get his name on the scoresheet.
LW: Leandro Trossard – 7/10
Trossard caused a few headaches for his marker and was replaced in the 81st minute.
