Official: Abdallah Sima leaves Brighton for good and signs with RC Lens
Abdallah Sima has officially joined RC Lens this Friday, August 29, 2025. After a convincing campaign wearing the Stade Brestois colors, the Senegalese international leaves Brighton & Hove Albion for good to sign with the French club until 2029.
Abdallah Sima is now a RC Lens player. The Blood and Gold have secured the transfer of the Senegalese winger for an estimated fee of €4.5 million, excluding bonuses. The Lions of Teranga forward departs Brighton after a string of loan spells, the latest at Brest, where he featured in 40 matches and netted 12 goals across all competitions in the 2024/25 season.
"Ready to don the Blood and Gold! After four formative loan experiences, Abdallah Sima is now here for the long haul. A new attacking asset for Pierre Sage, the 24-year-old striker has signed with Racing until 2029!" Lens announced.
His move to Brighton in 2021 led to several enriching loan experiences. After a challenging stint at Stoke City in the Championship, he returned to France with Angers SCO in 2022-2023, where he scored 6 goals in 37 appearances despite the club’s relegation. His spell at Rangers FC in 2023-2024 confirmed his attacking prowess, with 11 goals in 24 league games and 4 more in European Cup action.
"Abdallah (Sima)’s signing adds quality and variety to our attacking options. He’s a complete forward, dangerous both running in behind and as a poacher in the box. Abdallah knows how to score and set up his teammates. He’s a true team player, which is a key asset for us. With his European experience and knowledge of Ligue 1, we have no doubt he’ll adapt quickly to our club." said Jean-Louis Leca, Racing’s sporting director.
