Official: Aurelien Tchouameni captains France vs Israel; Camavinga also starts | OneFootball

As France get set to take on Israel in their latest UEFA Nations League fixture in Budapest, two Real Madrid stars, Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga, find themselves in Les Bleus’ starting lineup.

In fact, Tchouameni happens to be the captain of the France team tonight in the absence of his club and country teammate Kylian Mbappe.

The 24-year-old midfield enforcer has been a mainstay in the centre of the park for Didier Deschamps’ side and has been rewarded for his solid performances for the national team with an opportunity to lead the side.

Meanwhile, Camavinga also gets a rare start for the 2018 FIFA World Cup winners, that too in the middle of the park, considering that Deschamps has previously preferred to use the Real Madrid youngster at left-back.

Camavinga returned from injury only recently and has played only a handful of minutes this season. As such, it will be interesting to see how he fares on his return to the national team setup.

There are also starts for former Real Madrid left-back Theo Hernandez as well as the Merengues’ defensive target for 2025, William Saliba.
