La Liga champions Barcelona have early this week announced a fresh departure from the club’s player ranks.
The latest Blaugrana star to have moved on? Áron Yaakobishvili.
Shot-stopper Yaakobishvili is for his part fresh off a starring campaign with Barcelona’s U19s this past season.
After previously being widely expected to depart, the youngster and his entourage in turn reached an agreement on the terms of a new contract through the summer of 2028 in Catalunya’s capital.
As part of this accord, it was decided that Yaakobishvili would head out on loan for the 2025/26 campaign.
And as alluded to above, on Tuesday, the Hungarian’s landing spot has been confirmed.
24 hours on from Pablo Torre’s move to Mallorca being announced, an official statement regarding Yaakobishvili has followed.
As per a release across Barcelona’s website and social media platforms:
‘FC Barcelona and FC Andorra have reached an agreement for the loan of player Aron Yaakobishvili, until June 30, 2026.’
‘Yako’, in turn, will spend the year ahead gaining senior experience in Spanish football’s 2nd tier.
