Over the past few weeks, FC Barcelona have bid goodbye to a number of players from the Barça Atletic squad, some on loan deals, some on permanent transfers.
However, the Blaugrana have confirmed that they have reached an agreement to keep winger Abdul Aziz Issah at the club for one more season, extending his loan deal from Dreams FC until 2026.
“FC Barcelona and Dreams FC have reached an agreement to extend Aziz Issah’s loan for another season, until June 30, 2026. The Ghanaian forward will return to Barça Atletic after a first year of adaptation,” the statement from the club read.
Issah joined Barcelona on a season-long loan deal last summer, becoming a part of the reserve team setup.
Upon arrival, the 19-year-old attacker had to wait for a while to make his debut due to some bureaucratic issues.
Issah ended his debut season with Barça Atletic with only two appearances, and played in the African Under-20 Cup with his national team.
The Ghanaian winger passed his medical tests along with the rest of the squad members on Monday as Barça Atletic began pre-season under new manager Juliano Belletti.
