With the summer transfer window now closed, FC Barcelona’s squad for the first half of the 2025/26 season is set.

The Blaugrana signed three new players in Joan Garcia, Marcus Rashford, and Roony Bardghji, while bidding goodbye to several out-of-favour players as well as one key figure in Inigo Martinez.

The squad list, published on UEFA’s official website, also confirms the shirt number for Bardghji, who has been registered as a reserve-team player in La Liga. The Swedish winger will be wearing the No. 28 shirt in his debut season at the club.

Meanwhile, Marc Bernal, who was registered as a first-team player in La Liga on transfer deadline day, has been handed the No. 22 shirt, as was reported earlier this week.

Injured captain and goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen is also registered and continues with the No. 1 shirt, while Garcia takes No. 13.

All these players are named in the List A of the Champions League squad.

Academy talents such as Jofre Torrents, Pedro ‘Dro’ Hernandez, and Toni Fernandez are expected to be a part of the List B of the squad, which is yet to be published.

The deadline to submit List A was 2 September, while List B can be submitted up until 00:00 hours on the day before a match.

Barcelona will begin their UEFA Champions League journey with an away game against Newcastle United after the international break.

The Catalans’ first home match in Europe sees them go head-to-head against reigning champions PSG, days after the Ballon d’Or ceremony.

Barcelona will also face Olympiacos, Club Brugge, Chelsea, Eintracht Frankfurt, Slavia Praha, and FC Copenhagen in the league phase.
