FC Barcelona welcome Inter Milan to the Montjuic Stadium for a crucial UEFA Champions League encounter. The first leg of their semi-final tie is now here, and both teams are eager to deliver. As for Barcelona, Hansi Flick’s team will know what to do in this clash.
Ahead of the game itself, reports had suggested that Hansi Flick could repeat the starting eleven that he deployed against Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey final. Now, it has been confirmed that it will indeed be the same eleven players that start this game for Barcelona.
Here is the official starting eleven that Hansi Flick has decided to field.
In goal, Wojciech Szczesny starts for FC Barcelona as Marc-Andre Ter Stegen will likely not play in the UEFA Champions League this season and is not even included in the squad list for this game. The Polish goalkeeper will have to remain alert, however, as Inter Milan have the quality to hurt Barcelona.
Over in the defense, Pau Cubarsi and Inigo Martinez start together as the two centre-backs. Both Spaniards will need to stay on their toes as the execute the high-line while also showcasing their technical ability on the ball as well.
On their flanks, Jules Kounde and Gerard Martin start as the two full-backs for Barcelona. The Frenchman recently scored a decisive match-winning goal in the UEFA Champions League, and it would not be a bad idea for him to deliver more of the same if he can.

As for the midfield, Pedri and Frenkie de Jong form the team’s double-pivot. They will have to cover a lot of ground, execute a lot of passes, and do a lot of defensive work, but they have proven throughout this season that they can manage it.
In front of them, Lamine Yamal and Raphinha take on their roles as the team’s two wingers. Both of them are a threat for just about any team in the world, and they will need to be at their best. As for the central attacking midfielder position, Dani Olmo will be the man locking down that position for Barcelona.
Up top, Ferran Torres starts as the team’s centre-forward. He scored a crucial goal against Real Madrid in his last game, and Hansi Flick will want more of that from his striker in this game as well.
