Official: Barcelona starting XI against PSG | UCL | OneFootball

FC Barcelona are set to kick off their game against Paris Saint-Germain soon. For both sides, this is a crucial UEFA Champions League fixture and the players will want to ensure that they put on a strong display.

Despite some prominent injuries, however, Hansi Flick has enough quality in his team to field a competitive starting eleven. Fortunately, that is exactly what the German tactician has ended up doing.

Here is Barça’s official starting eleven for this UCL clash.

In goal, Wojciech Szczesny starts for Barça considering that Joan Garcia is currently sidelined. The Polish veteran has had some big performances last season, and a big one will be needed in this game as well.

Ahead of him, Pau Cubarsi and Eric Garcia start together and both players will have a big test to face in this game. PSG’s forwards will definitely make life difficult, so they will need to stay on their toes.

On the flanks, Gerard Martin and Jules Kounde start as the team’s two full-backs. Both the Spaniard and the Frenchman will need to be alert and make sure that they are supporting their teammates as much as possible. Alejandro Balde is also in the squad, but he is not ready to start just yet.

In midfield, Pedri and Frenkie de Jong start this game together. Both of them have been in incredible form recently, and they will look to make things difficult for PSG while ensuring control for Barcelona.

Ahead of them, Lamine Yamal and Marcus Rashford occupy the wings. Both players will be crucial in this game, and Dani Olmo starts in between them as the team’s primary attacking midfielder.

Up top, Ferran Torres starts for Flick’s team as the primary centre-forward. He should be on the receiving end of the chances that are created primarily for him in this game, and he will be expected to put them away.
