The Brazilian national team have early this week announced a deal to bring in Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti as their next manager.
The name of legendary tactician Ancelotti has of course positioned itself front and centre in the headlines across world football for several weeks now.
This comes after widespread confirmation was forthcoming that the Italian is primed to part ways with Real Madrid in the summer.
Ancelotti, in turn, was quickly sought out by the Brazilian Football Federation, considered the ideal profile to guide the country out of what has been a hugely underwhelming recent spell.
And as alluded to above, on Monday, the Seleção have officially landed their man.
As per a statement across the CFB’s official website and social media platforms:
‘The greatest national team in the history of football will now be led by the most successful coach in the world. Carlo Ancelotti, synonymous with historic achievements, was announced this Monday (12) by the president of the CBF, Ednaldo Rodrigues, as the new coach of the Brazilian national team. He will lead Brazil until the 2026 World Cup and will already coach the team in the next two qualifying games against Ecuador and Paraguay, next month.’
