Serie A pacesetters Inter Milan have unveiled Croatian teenager Leon Jakirovic as their newest U23 signing.
According to Inter.it, the 17-year-old, who arrives from Dinamo Zagreb, will join Stefano Vecchi’s U23 side.
Despite facing stiff competition from several top European clubs, Inter have won the race for the young defender’s signature.
Indeed, Jakirovic has followed in the footsteps of Petar Sucic, who left Zagreb to sign for the Nerazzurri last summer.
It’s worth noting that Juventus made a last-ditch attempt to hijack Jakirovic’s move to San Siro. But they failed.

Considered among Croatia’s most talented youngsters, Leon Jakirovic will continue his career in Italy.
Though there’s no official confirmation, it’s believed that Inter paid around €2.5 million to secure his services.
However, Jakirovic will not immediately join the first team.
Instead, he will spend the second half of the season with the youth squad to gain experience and get familiar with Italian football.
