Official: Real Madrid star named La Liga Player of the Month | OneFootball

Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé has on Friday been named La Liga Player of the Month for January.

Frontman Mbappé has of course begun to rediscover his brilliant best of late, looking a completely different player to the ponderous and mistake-riddled one of the early months of the campaign.

As much is reflected in the Frenchman’s goalscoring, with Mbappé having found the net in five of his last six appearances across all competitions.

This includes a hat-trick against Real Valladolid last weekend, in arguably the 26-year-old’s best overall performance in Real Madrid colours to date.

And, as alluded to above, on Friday, such efforts on Mbappé’s part have been recognised.

This comes amid confirmation that the summer arrival in Spain has secured the La Liga Player of the Month prize for January.

Owing to a haul of five goals in three outings this month, the former Paris Saint-Germain standout has beaten out competition from the likes of Hugo Duro and Luis Milla to bag the award.
