Real Madrid have officially announced their starting lineup which will take on Atletico Madrid in the infamous Madrid derby.

Coming on the back of a 2-1 win over Manchester City in the Champions League, coach Alvaro Arbeloa has made some key changes, with the highlight being Alvaro Carreras starting on the bench.

The fullback had returned to the fold heading into this game, but Arbeloa has opted for Fran Garcia at left-back once again while replacing Trent with Dani Carvajal on the opposite flank.

Andriy Lunin, meanwhile, replaces the injured Thibaut Courtois in goal and will be looking for a clean sheet upon his return to the starting eleven.

The midfield remains unchanged, with Thiago Pitarch lining up alongside Federico Valverde and Aurelien Tchouameni.

Arbeloa hasn’t made too many changes in the attack either, with Kylian Mbappe once again settling for a place on the bench.

That means Brahim Diaz and Vinicius Jr. will lead the Real Madrid frontline, with Arda Guler providing the creative support.

Real Madrid, though, have a packed bench with Mbappe, Carreras, Jude Bellingham, Trent and Franco Mastantuono all available to be deployed in the second half.

Arbeloa can also count on some of the younger players, such as Diego Aguado and striker Gonzalo Garcia.
