🚨 Official: Roberto De Zerbi joins a Premier League giant

Roberto De Zerbi is back in action.

Nearly two months after leaving Olympique de Marseille, the Italian coach (46) has joined Tottenham for a rescue mission.

Spurs officially announced the appointment on Tuesday evening on a "long-term" contract, the statement said.

Drawing on his experience at Brighton, De Zerbi will try to pull Spurs out of the mire: the club is battling to avoid relegation in the Premier League (17th, +1 above the drop zone).

Will he succeed where his predecessors Igor Tudor and Thomas Frank failed? The first clues will come as early as next weekend.

For De Zerbi’s first game in charge, Tottenham will face Sunderland next Sunday (Matchday 32 of the Premier League).
