Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi has decided to start Mehdi Taremi in attack and Henrikh Mkhitaryan in midfield against Lazio. This evening’s Serie A matchday 37 clash kicks off at 20.45 CET.

Firstly, for Inter it will be vital to take point. The Nerazzurri are just a point behind Napoli at the top of the table – therefore, they must keep the pressure on the league leaders.

Furthermore, if the Partenopei do slip up then Inter could go top of the table right at the decisive moment.

Therefore, Inter would hardly want the regret of failing to capitalize on any dropped points by Napoli.

Meanwhile, Lazio are in a fierce battle for the last remaining Champions League place in the table. Therefore, a result at the San Siro this evening would be massive for them.

Mkhitaryan Starts In Midfield For Inter

Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi has decided to name a strong team – he’s not simply rotating his squad in view of the Champions League final later this month.

Firstly, the big name on the teamsheet is that of Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Mkhitaryan missed last week’s Serie A match against Torino due to a thigh injury. However, he has recovered and has come straight back into the Inter starting eleven.

Therefore, Piotr Zielinski has dropped out of the lineup.

Meanwhile, Hakan Calhanoglu and Nicolo Barella complete the Inter starting eleven alongside Mkhitaryan.

Then, in goal, Yann Sommer comes back in after Josep Martinez had started in league outings against Hellas Verona and Torino.

In front of Sommer, meanwhile, is a back three of Yann Bisseck, Francesco Acerbi, and Alessandro Bastoni.

In attack, Mehdi Taremi keeps his place from last Sunday’s win over Torino.

However, partnering the Iranian international is Marcus Thuram.

Lastly, on the flanks, it is Federico Dimarco and Denzel Dumfries.

Therefore, the likes of Kristjan Asllani, Nicola Zalewski, Carlos Augusto, Stefan de Vrij, Joaquin Correa, and Matteo Darmian all drop to the bench.

Meanwhile, there are two players missing due to injury for Inter. Captain Lautaro Martinez is out with a thigh problem, whilst midfielder Davide Frattesi is still recovering from an abdominal problem.
