Galatasaray head coach Okan Buruk says Victor Osimhen is back in full training, with a decision on his inclusion for the Ankara trip to face Gençlerbirliği to follow assessment of his fitness. According to Turkish-Football.com, Buruk also set out the squad’s mindset for the run-in.
The Nigerian forward completed a full session with the group yesterday and, Buruk noted, his presence has lifted the squad’s energy. Coaches will now evaluate how he has come through before determining whether he travels.
Reflecting on a gruelling schedule of nearly 50 games across the Champions League, Turkish League and Turkish Cup, Buruk pointed to injuries to Yasin Asprilla, Yunus Akgün and Noa Lang. He said any errors or dropped points are his responsibility, while insisting he retains full belief in his players.
Galatasaray are league leaders, two points ahead of Fenerbahçe, and will host their closest challengers. Buruk said their fate remains in their own hands.
After a European exit to Liverpool earlier in the campaign, he stressed the domestic focus and declared he has no doubt they will claim a fourth straight title. Supporters now await the squad list to learn whether Osimhen makes his competitive return.
