UEFA has decided not to impose additional two-game bans on Bayern Munich’s Michael Olise and Joshua Kimmich over perceived intentional bookings, according to L'Équipe.

The pair were cautioned late in the first leg, Bayern winning 6-1 at Atalanta in Bergamo on Tuesday, with bookings in the 77th and 83rd minutes.

UEFA examined whether the fouls were deliberate and if the cautions were used to manage suspensions, but intentionality could not be proven.

As a result of the bookings, two of Vincent Kompany’s key players will miss next Wednesday’s rematch.

They would then be available for a potential quarter-final against Real Madrid or Manchester City.
