Ollie Watkins will not feature in England’s World Cup qualifying clash with Latvia on Tuesday.
The Aston Villa striker suffered a nasty knock when he collided with the post in the Three Lions’ friendly win over Wales.

And the England national team have now confirmed he has not recovered in time to play in their upcoming clash, in which a win will secure qualification for next year’s World Cup.
Speaking after the win over Wales about Watkins’ injury, England boss Thomas Tuchel said: “Unfortunately he saw the ball too late and crashed into the post.
“I think it was very, very painful but as I understood now it’s only painful so no harm done.”
