A member of the loan ranks at La Liga champions Barcelona is close to bringing a permanent close to his time on the books of the club.
The player in question? Ansu Fati.
Wide-man Ansu is for his part fresh off something of a bounce-back season in France.
After linking up with Ligue 1 outfit AS Monaco on a temporary basis, the 23-year-old went on to rack up 30 appearances in all competitions.
And along the way, despite over half of his outings having come from the bench, Ansu found the net on a more than respectable 12 occasions.
The Monaco brass have in turn long made the call to attempt to make the Spaniard’s arrival a permanent one with a view to the seasons ahead.
And as alluded to above, if word stemming from the media this weekend is anything to go by, then those behind the scenes at the Stade Louis II soon look set to have their wishes granted.
As per a report from Mundo Deportivo:
‘Sources close to Ansu told MD that the agreement with Monaco, where he spent last season on loan, is close to being finalized after the player gave his approval.’
