In a recent report, MOT Leeds News mentioned that on-loan Leeds United striker Mateo Joseph is on the radar of Wrexham. It has been stated that the Championship side are hoping to sign the Spanish forward, who is currently playing on loan at RCD Mallorca, from the Whites this summer.

Joseph’s Impressive Form In La Liga

Joseph has caught the eye at times with his performances while on loan at Mallorca this season. The 22-year-old has registered two goals and picked up three assists in 29 matches for the Spanish club in this campaign so far across various competitions.

The Spanish talent has proven his worth as a decent forward in La Liga. However, the jury is still out on whether he can be a consistent goal-getter in the Premier League.

His current contract at his parent club, Leeds United, will expire in the summer of 2028. Thus, Farke is under no immediate pressure to cash in on him later this year.

Should Leeds United Boss Daniel Farke Let Joseph Go This Summer?

Joseph can create some space for himself to get a few strikes in at goal. He has got the eye to create the odd chance for his teammates on the offensive end of the field.

The Spanish sensation is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet. Standing at 1.85m, Joseph is a strong presence in the air. However, it remains to be seen whether he can prove his value in English football.

At the moment, Joseph is not performing at a high enough level to justify a regular first-team place at Leeds next season. Thus, Daniel Farke should consider letting him go at the end of this campaign. He won’t be an upgrade over Dominic Calvert-Lewin and could struggle to play a significant role for the Whites in the coming seasons.

At 22, the future looks quite bright for Joseph if he can ensure regular first-team starts in the future. Thus, it is only fair to the player if the West Yorkshire club allow him to leave this summer. Leeds can use the money generated from his potential sale to bring in a suitable replacement in the upcoming transfer window.
