Onana travels to Turkey ahead of potential clash with Ederson | OneFootball

André Onana is travelling to Turkey to finalise his loan move away from Manchester United after a difficult spell.

The Cameroon international has struggled for consistency during his spell in the Premier League with high-profile errors resulting in the player now being loaned out of the club following the arrival of Senne Lammens from Royal Antwerp.

According to journalist Laurie Whitwell of The Athletic, Onana is flying out to Turkey after the international break in which his side defeated Swaziland 3-0 but lost to Cabo Verde 1-0.

Should Onana's move to Trabzonspor – one that would see his wages increase – be completed in time then it is likely that the goalkeeper will face a familiar foe in the opposition goal.

Trabzonspor are set to face Fenerbahçe this Sunday who recently signed Ederson from Manchester City, a move that paved the way for Gigi Donnarumma to join the Citizens from Paris Saint-Germain.

Coincidentally, the Manchester derby will also be played this weekend with Altay Bayindir and James Trafford likely to be in their respective nets.
