A member of the midfield ranks at La Liga champions Barcelona was left with altogether negative sensations on the back of the club’s most recent outing.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Fermín López as the player in question.
Youngster Fermín has of course seen his name dominate the headlines in Catalunya’s capital over the last 24 hours.
This comes amid the understanding that Premier League giants Chelsea are readying an all-out assault on the signature of the 22-year-old.
Initially, it was expected that Fermín would knock as much back, having never been shy in reiterating his complete and total commitment to the cause in Barcelona.
In turn, it has come as something of a surprise to learn of the Spanish international taking Chelsea’s offer into real consideration.
As alluded to above, though, over recent hours, a potential reason as to why has been revealed.
The info comes couresy of MD, who confirm that:
‘The midfielder has always expressed his desire to remain at Barcelona, but recent events could force him to reconsider. The match against Levante left the attacking midfielder cold: he didn’t start, and Raphinha, a new direct competitor, played in his position.’
Not only that, but even with the Blaugrana trailing by two goals and in desperate need of inspiration at the Carlos Tartiere, Fermín was left on the bench by manager Hansi Flick.
