The final two quarter-finals promise plenty of drama as Norway face England before Argentina take on Switzerland.
Here are the big questions on Day 30.
Norway are through to their first-ever World Cup quarter-final after a famous 2-1 victory over five-time champions Brazil. Erling Haaland scored both goals to continue his sensational tournament, while Ståle Solbakken's side once again showed they can combine attacking quality with defensive resilience against elite opposition.
England survived one of the games of the tournament to beat Mexico 3-2 in the Round of 16 despite playing much of the match with 10 men following Jarell Quansah's red card.
This has all the ingredients to be one of the most entertaining quarter-finals. Norway have nothing to lose and possess arguably the tournament's most lethal striker in Haaland, but England's greater depth and experience in knockout football may just see them edge through.
Our prediction: Norway 1-2 England
The defending champions were pushed to the limit by Egypt before eventually prevailing 3-2 after extra time. Lionel Scaloni's side once again relied on Lionel Messi to produce when it mattered most, keeping alive their bid to become the first nation since Brazil in 1962 to retain the World Cup.
Switzerland continued their reputation as one of international football's toughest tournament opponents by overcoming Colombia on penalties after a goalless draw. Murat Yakin's side defended superbly throughout and once again proved they are exceptionally difficult to break down in knockout football.
Argentina will expect to have most of the possession, but Switzerland's organisation and discipline should ensure another closely fought contest. If Messi can find moments of inspiration, though, the holders should have enough to book their place in the semi-finals.
Our prediction: Argentina 2-0 Switzerland

Erling Haaland has taken this World Cup by storm with seven goals in five games.
The Manchester City forward was at his clinical best last time out against Brazil with two goals including a truly sensational second.
If Norway are to go a step closer to the final, then Haaland will have to be at his best.
Norway have only beaten England twice in their previous 12 meetings with the last coming in 1993.
