Dominic Calvert-Lewin is one of Europe’s form strikers after scoring four goals in four matches for Leeds United, a burst that has lifted the club out of the Premier League relegation zone. Leeds face Crystal Palace next as he targets an equal-best scoring run.
The club said in a post that his recent streak has put him among elite company. He has scored against Manchester City, Chelsea, Liverpool and Brentford, the joint-longest run across Europe’s top-five leagues.
Only Phil Foden can currently match him, having started his four-game sequence at the Etihad in the match against Leeds.
If Calvert-Lewin scores against Palace, and Foden fails to score against West Ham, he will officially be Europe’s most in-form forward outright. He would also equal his best-ever scoring streak.
Signed in the summer after an injury-hit end to his time at Everton, the striker has repaid Leeds’ faith in recent weeks. If he nets this weekend, he will become the first Leeds player since Mark Viduka in 2002/03 to score in five consecutive Premier League games.
