Santos’ tour of Portugal has been cancelled due to potential clashes with rescheduled domestic fixtures and a lack of confirmed CBF dates, organiser Joga Brasil said.
The 12 July meeting with Vitória SC and other Portuguese dates are off. Events were arranged using the Brazilian football calendar released in December 2025, but possible advancement of Brasileirão rounds during the World Cup run-in would cause direct conflicts.
Supporters will receive a full refund through Smartfan Tickets by three July. Proven financial losses will be covered, and enquiries will be handled via @jogabrasil on Instagram.
Santos had already reworked plans. Travel was first set for seven to 17 July, then moved to five to 12 July. The schedule listed Gil Vicente on eight July, a training game with Santa Clara on 10 July and Vitória de Guimarães at Estádio Afonso Henriques on 12 July, with the squad based in Guimarães near Porto airport.
With plans altered, the club will study another training game or friendly in that window. The squad will report on Monday 22 at CT Rei Pelé.
On returning to competition, Santos face UCV in the Sudamericana on 21 and 28 July. The CBF has yet to break down league rounds, but possible Brasileirão dates include Botafogo on 22 or 23, Chapecoense on 25, 26 or 27 and São Paulo on 29 or 30. Given the overlaps, at least one fixture should be brought forward.
