Orihuela sign Roberto Torres, LaLiga legend

Orihuela have signed attacking midfielder Roberto Torres, 36. The club confirmed the addition on Sunday.

The announcement came hours after a 3-1 away win at Real Madrid C in Valdebebas, a result that left Carlos de las Cuevas' side just short of the Primera Federación promotion places.

Torres came through Osasuna, where he made more than 300 professional appearances, including 173 in the top flight and 149 in Segunda, all for the Navarre club.

After leaving Osasuna in 2022-23, he had a brief spell in Iran with Foolad Khuzestán, then played for Inter Escaldes in Andorra and for Gimnàstic de Tarragona before joining Orihuela.

He could debut in the next Segunda Federación Group 5 round, against Elche B, on Sunday 25 January at Los Arcos.
