Osmar Stabile denies exit rumours, backs Corinthians executive

Rumors about a possible departure of Fabinho Soldado from the Corinthians board have caused discomfort for President Osmar Stabile. In contact with the portal Meu Timão, the alvinegro leader made a point of denying any possibility of the football executive's dismissal and reinforced his confidence in the director.

“I would like to clarify that Fabinho Soldado is guaranteed as the football executive of Corinthians. All this speculation that has been circulating, besides being false, hinders the progress of football in the club as a whole”, stated the Corinthians president.

Stabile also took the opportunity to refute rumors of political interference in the football department's decisions. “I want to make it clear that there is no pressure or influence from political groups in any decision related to football. All decisions are exclusive to the President of the Board,” he added.

Behind the scenes, speculations about Fabinho's salary and a supposed contract renewal with a salary increase, which was allegedly signed by Augusto Melo days before his impeachment, circulated as a form of pressure. However, the current management vehemently denies this information.

The president decided to publicly position himself in defense of the executive, recognizing his importance behind the scenes. Fabinho has maintained a good relationship with the squad and helped preserve the environment at the training center, even amidst a turbulent period marked by salary delays, changes in presidency, transfer ban, and the impossibility of signings.

A recent example of Stabile's protection occurred when the Advisory Council (Cori) requested Fabinho's presence to provide clarifications about expenses in the men's professional football department. The president prevented the executive from attending, personally making himself available to provide all requested information.

“I ask Corinthians fans to continue supporting the team as they always do, avoiding fueling the lies of people who want an audience at the expense of Corinthians, disrupting an environment of respect and well-managed”, Stabile concluded.
