There’s nothing that can be further said to describe the man who every single supporter is aware of, even those who were too young, or not even born when the Slovakian genius was wooing the Celtic support with his scintillating ability.
Lubo was a one off, and dare I say it a legendary figure in the club’s illustrious history despite only being at the club for four years, but in those four years he brought us nothing but joy with his undoubted ability as a footballer.
The man who was famously wrote off by the disrespectful SMSM upon arriving in Glasgow, and dubbed as nothing more than ‘one of Dr Jo’s old pals’ with one hack writing that Celtic had signed a dud Czech (he was north a dud not a Czech but that’s the Scottish MSM for you), rammed those words firmly down every one of their throats as he left having more than made his mark on Scottish football.

Even at 33, Lubo was still a talented footballer, he had played at the top level in France and Germany as well as representing Czechoslovakia at the 1990 World Cup after all.
No one will ever forget his influence in the famous 5-1 drubbing of Rangers, and from then on in he became an instant Celtic favourite. All of his Celtic goals are shown below for you to enjoy.

129 appearances and 35 goals (watch below), and five honours as a Celtic player, Lubo more than made his mark and will forever be remembered as an iconic figure in the clubs history. Many happy returns Lubo.
