Whilst it is far from guaranteed, the signs are positive for Ousmane Dembélé (28) to return from injury to face Tottenham Hotspur on Wendesday.
It has been an injury-hit campaign so far for Dembélé, who won the Ballon d’Or back in September. The Frenchman fired Paris Saint-Germain to UEFA Champions League glory, but has featured sparingly, and when he has, he has not been at 100%.
His most recent injury (calf) came earlier this month, during the defeat to Bayern Munich. It meant that he missed the most recent international break. A return was hypothesised for last weekend and the 3-0 win over Le Havre AC.
However, Luis Enrique opted to take no risks. But L’Équipe are now reporting that an internal source at PSG has said that Dembélé is “feeling good” ahead of Wednesday’s game against Tottenham Hotspur. They added that the former Barcelona forward is “hungry” to make his return.
His return will happen before the end of the month and perhaps against Tottenham. The signs, in any case, are positive.
