Ousmane Dembélé has been named FIFA The Best Men’s Player of the Year, adding to his Ballon d’Or success after a Champions League-winning season with PSG.

The France international finished ahead of Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal and Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappé in the final vote, following a campaign in which he registered 35 goals and 14 assists for the Paris side.

Now 28, Dembélé has played a central role in Luis Enrique’s system, operating mainly as a mobile striker and featuring across several attacking positions. Across club and country, he recorded 51 goal contributions in 60 appearances.

PSG are currently in Qatar for the Intercontinental Cup, and while Dembélé has dealt with some fitness issues this season, he is expected to feature prominently in Luis Enrique’s plans for tomorrow’s clash with Flamengo.
