Palmeiras have agreed the signing of Jhon Arias from Wolverhampton after prolonged talks, accepting a fee of 25 million euros, R$ 155 million, on Thursday.
According to Coluna Do Fla, the clubs have shaken hands and Palmeiras are preparing to announce the move. Arias will sign a four-year contract, with the parties already exchanging documents.
Fluminense held priority on a purchase, but would have needed to match Palmeiras’ R$ 155 million offer. As the Rio club chose not to bid, Wolverhampton accepted the sale to the São Paulo side.
Flamengo explored a deal for Arias earlier in the window. The club then prioritised Lucas Paquetá, who recently signed a five-year contract with Flamengo.
Flamengo also completed two further signings this window, Vitão and Andrew. Both players have already made their 2026 debuts.
