Palmeiras celebrated a Sunday win over São Paulo at Arena Crefisa Barueri and sealed a seventh straight Paulista final, while taking aim at rivals online.
According to Globo.com, the club used social media to underline recent dominance in the Choque-Rei and to needle São Paulo over talk of synthetic versus natural pitches.
The posts framed their edge as natural, regardless of surface, and highlighted a club-record 11-match unbeaten sequence in the derby. They counted 858 days without defeat, a run that includes the 2024 Supercopa Rei decider at Mineirão, which finished 0-0 before São Paulo won on penalties.
The first half was briefly halted to remove a kite carrying the Corinthians emblem from the pitch. After full-time, Palmeiras shared an image of two kites by the Paulistão trophy, one representing Palmeiras and another representing Novorizontino, the other finalist.
Two others, shown falling, represented São Paulo and Corinthians, both knocked out in the semi-finals. The caption noted an unbeaten record in this year’s derbies and shifted focus to the title match.
