Palmeiras dominate Paulistão 2026 team after title win over Novorizontino | OneFootball

Palmeiras sealed the 2026 Campeonato Paulista and dominated the official team of the tournament, with six players selected and Abel Ferreira named coach.

As reported by Nosso Palestra, the selection featured goalkeeper Carlos Miguel, right-back João Vitor of Portuguesa, centre-backs Dantas of Novorizontino and Gustavo Gómez of Palmeiras, and left-back Mayk of Novorizontino.

Midfield included Marlon Freitas and Andreas Pereira, both Palmeiras, with Rômulo of Novorizontino as playmaker. The front three were Vitor Roque and Flaco López of Palmeiras, plus Robson of Novorizontino.

Palmeiras won the first leg 1-0 in Barueri, settled by Flaco López. Carlos Miguel saved a penalty in that opener and delivered a decisive display.

They then took the return 2-1 over Novorizontino at Jorge Ismael de Biasi in Novo Horizonte on Sunday, 8, with goals from Murilo and Vitor Roque.

Flaco López was also named Player of the Tournament and Fans’ Player.

Ramón Sosa of Palmeiras finished as the competition’s assist leader.

Palmeiras visit Vasco on Thursday, 13, in the Brasileiro. Abel Ferreira’s side lead the league with 10 points from four matches.
