Palmeiras have been fined approximately R$ 365,000 by CONMEBOL for protocol breaches during the Libertadores final against Flamengo, a match in which the Verdão finished runners-up.

CONMEBOL said the sanctions total US$ 70,000, linked to delays in meeting the official match protocol.

Of that, US$ 50,000 was imposed for the team’s late return after half-time, with US$ 30,000 charged to the club and US$ 20,000 to head coach Abel Ferreira.

A further US$ 20,000 was levied for a pre-match entry delay, breaching requirements in the 2025 Libertadores Clubs Manual.

All penalties were applied under article 27 of the CONMEBOL Disciplinary Code, and the sums will be automatically deducted from broadcast or sponsorship revenues due to the club.

The punishment carries no sporting sanctions, such as points deductions or player suspensions.
