According to Globo.com, Palmeiras reconvened on Tuesday morning after winning the 2026 Campeonato Paulista, switching their usual base for Allianz Parque to train on the replaced pitch for the first time.
The session served as a first feel for the surface before their return to the stadium. They had already used the venue for pre-match sessions last year. They visit Vasco in Rio de Janeiro on Thursday in the fifth round of the Brasileiro, then host Mirassol on Sunday in the sixth.
Heavily used starters remained at the Academia de Futebol for recovery work. Players with stronger recovery metrics went to the stadium for light running, ball work, movement and finishing, then completed recovery back at the training centre.
The remaining squad members, the non-starters, worked through technical drills under the coaching staff.
Flaco López, recently named Paulistão player of the tournament, was among those at the ground and said the return felt special, adding that the surface looked excellent, with colour close to natural grass, and that it should benefit their games.
Palmeiras have not played at Allianz Parque since 22 November, when they drew 0-0 with Fluminense.
