Palmeiras remain top of Brazil’s club membership ranking, yet they recorded the biggest fall in subscribers, while Atlético-MG and Corinthians drove the strongest growth. Botafogo, Ceará, Santos and São Paulo also saw declines.
According to Globo.com, the 40 clubs in the 2025 Série A and Série B now have more than 1.5 million paying members, with only Palmeiras, Atlético-MG, Corinthians, Flamengo, Internacional and Grêmio above 100,000. Counting methods vary by each club’s statute.
Palmeiras’ Avanti programme generated about R$ 61 million in the first 10 months of 2025, but membership dropped by almost 17,000 from the previous survey, a 9% fall. The drop is seen as a seasonal dip in payments, and they also began the season away from Allianz Parque during a pitch change.
Atlético-MG moved into second, adding almost 38,000 members since July, a 36% rise in Galo na Veia.
Corinthians increased their paying base by 40%, from 84,737 in late July 2025 to 118,545. In December, this marked their highest active, paying total since the 2023 Copa do Brasil.
Flamengo, fourth and owner of 2025’s highest average attendance, did not release January figures. In late December, data pointed to 64% growth, from 72,000 to 118,000 in November 2025.
Vasco followed the leading improvers, lifting paid-up monthly fees by 53%, from 44,150 in July to 67,739.
Mirassol and Chapecoense delivered the largest percentage increases, 141% and 104%. Mirassol run the Passaporte do Leão, which grants entry to all matches at the Maião. All 6,500 passes were sold early in the year, meaning a full house for all 2026 fixtures.
