Gabriel Jesus has signalled he wants to stay in Europe for two or three years, tempering Palmeiras’ interest in bringing him back. His Arsenal future is uncertain despite this season’s English title.
According to Nosso Palestra, the Brazilian club have kept regular contact with the forward, who has also used their training base to work back from injuries.
A youth product who emerged after a major overhaul, he left Palmeiras in 2016 after lifting the 2015 Copa do Brasil and the league. He joined Manchester City, then moved to Arsenal in 2022.
Jesus wants more game time than he is currently getting at the English club and could be sold. Atlético de Madrid and Milan have asked about his situation in recent weeks.
“I think about it every day, I follow them. It is my dream, I have made it clear that I will return one day, I just do not know when,” he told ESPN.
“The future belongs to God, it is a club I care about a lot, I am a passionate supporter, and when I return to Brazil my choice will always be Palmeiras.”
