Palmeiras beat São Paulo 3-1 in the Campeonato Paulista, bouncing back from the 4-0 loss to Novorizontino. The result matched their longest unbeaten run in Choque-Rei history.

According to Nosso Palestra, it is now 10 without defeat against São Paulo, six wins and four draws since July 2023. That equals the club's best sequence, set from August 2017 to January 2020.

The winning streak in the derby stands at four. It includes 1-0 in the 2025 Paulista semi-final at Allianz Parque, 1-0 in the 2025 Brasileirão first round at Arena Barueri, and 3-2 in the second round at Morumbis, plus the latest meeting.

It is their best such run since five straight between August 2017 and March 2019. In the Paulista, Palmeiras are unbeaten in six, starting with the 4-0 win in the 2022 final, then three draws and a further victory.

That is the second longest Palmeiras run in the State competition, level with six-match sequences between August 1965 and December 1967 and from May 1972 to November 1974. The record is 13 matches between February 2010 and January 2020.

Palmeiras returned to the top on 12 points from four wins and one defeat, though Red Bull Bragantino on 10 and Novorizontino on nine could overtake on Sunday 25. They face Atlético-MG at 19:00 on Wednesday 28 in the Brasileirão opener, then visit Botafogo-SP in Ribeirão Preto on Sunday one.
