According to Nosso Palestra, Palmeiras played a training match against São Paulo at Arena Crefisa Barueri on Wednesday night. The exercise formed part of preparations for the Supercopa Feminina final against Corinthians on seven February at 16:00 at the same stadium, with no score kept.
The run-out consisted of two 45-minute halves, designed to build match rhythm and support technical and tactical adjustments. The squad returned at the start of the year to the Academia de Futebol for assessments and physical tests to begin preparations for 2026.
Head coach Rosana Augusto highlighted the value of the contest for evaluating pre-season work, saying it showed where the team need to improve and what they can enhance. She described the overall balance as very positive.
She noted they have had 14 training sessions so far, so there are still areas to adjust. For a first friendly against opponents who had already played a training game, she considered it a very interesting experience.
Augusto added that several ideas worked on in pre-season were put into practice, and that fine-tuning will follow as the competition approaches. Palmeiras face Red Bull Bragantino in another friendly on Saturday 31 at 16:00, again at Arena Crefisa Barueri, as part of the final phase of preparation.
