In search of a fifth Copa do Brasil title

This will be Verdão’s 31st appearance in the tournament. Champions in 1998, 2012, 2015 and 2020, Palmeiras sit fourth on the list of clubs with the most titles, alongside Corinthians and behind Grêmio and Flamengo, both with five, and Cruzeiro, with six. Among the other clubs from São Paulo state, Santos, São Paulo, Santo André and Paulista de Jundiaí have one each.

In addition to the four titles, Verdão were runners-up in 1996 and were eliminated four times in the semifinals, nine times in the quarterfinals, nine times in the round of 16, twice in the round of 32, and once in the round of 64.
