Tropa ge have moved top of Palpite ge after the eighth round, opening a two-point lead over André Loffredo.

According to Globo.com, they had shared first place after the previous round, but a strong weekend haul put Tropa ge out in front.

Both unanimous picks delivered. Fluminense and Internacional won their matches, earning points for all nine participants who had backed their victories.

Teams without backing also failed to win. Santos and Grêmio, who received no predictions in their favour, did not beat Cruzeiro and Vasco respectively. Corinthians also failed to win against Flamengo at the Neo Química Arena.

The decisive swing came in Cruzeiro against Santos. Eight participants predicted a Cruzeiro win, but only Tropa ge called the draw, securing a solitary correct selection that proved pivotal in the final totals.
