According to a report from Foot Mercato, Paris FC have agreed personal terms with Lucas Stassin (20), as they look to launch a late bid to secure the striker.
Foot Mercato explains that Paris is confident that they can convince Les Verts to part ways with the striker. Les Verts have insisted that they won’t sell the Belgian this summer, however, this late bid could change their minds.
Paris FC have been on the lookout for an extra forward in recent weeks. FC Nantes’ Matthis Abline has been a key target, however, Les Canaris have held firm on their €40m valuation. Wolverhampton Wanderers have seen a €30m bid rejected and Paris FC therefore look to have abandoned the deal.
Willem Geubbels has arrived at Paris FC, however, another forward is sought after. On deadline day, L’Équipe writes that a bid worth €29m, including bonuses, has been submitted to Saint-Étienne. The Belgian has been keen on a departure, so as to avoid a season playing in Ligue 2. Backed by wealthy owners, Saint-Étienne have been reticent to sell Stassin. It remains to be seen whether this bid could change their mind.
