The club are 15th in Ligue 1 with a six-point cushion over the relegation play-off spot, occupied by Auxerre, and 11 games to play.

Kombouaré, 62, is well versed in survival battles. He left Nantes at the end of last season after keeping them up at the last moment.

Gilli, 51, took charge in 2023 and led Paris FC to promotion to Ligue 1 last season.
