Pau Victor reveals the conversation he had with Barcelona captain before his Braga move | OneFootball

FC Barcelona has been working on wrapping up sales this summer as efficiently as possible. From permanent transfers to possible loan deals, various different kinds of operations have been taken into account. After all, generating income and creating space is vital for Barcelona right now.

Beyond just the players that have arrived this summer, such as the arrival of Joan Garcia and the loan-based arrival of Marcus Rashford, the club wants to offload players as well. Even right, various operations continue to be worked on.

From Andreas Christensen to Oriol Romeu, numerous exit cases remain on the table. However, one case that has already been finalised and even made official is that of Spanish forward Pau Victor, as the player has now officially joined Portuguese side Braga.

Pau Victor reveals his conversation with Raphinha

Recently, as quoted by Mundo Deportivo, the 23-year-old Spanish forward revealed the conversation he had with Barcelona captain Raphinha, who has also played in Portugal before, before he joined the Portuguese outfit. At first, he made a joke about listening to his words:

“He played there for a rival team (Vitória de Guimarães), so I won’t listen to him too much.”

However, he then admitted that Raphinha was the one who advised him to join Braga:

“The truth is, Raphinha advised me to go.”

According to Victor, the Barcelona captain told him about the club, the Portuguese league’s growth, and how it helps develop players:

“It’s a big club, and the league is growing fast. I know great players come out of there.”

His love for Barcelona still remains strong

He concluded by saying that he always takes Raphinha’s advice seriously:

“I always listen to Raphinha’s advice.”

Now, Victor begins a new chapter in Portugal after having stayed under Hansi Flick’s orders for a season. However, it seems that he continues to have a soft spot for Barcelona, as he made sure to dedicate a heartfelt letter to the club and the fans.
