Pauline Peyraud-Magnin has been ruled out of France’s World Cup 2027 qualifying opener in Ireland on Tuesday.

According to L'Équipe, the new Denver goalkeeper in the United States told staff late on Monday she was unable to play in Dublin against the Republic of Ireland.

Earlier, head coach Laurent Bonadei said he had called up Alice Pinguet as a precaution after a run-out with the under-23s, noting that Peyraud-Magnin and Constance Picaud-Inconnu had minor knocks.

With Peyraud-Magnin not at 100%, Picaud-Inconnu, second in the pecking order, is likely to start.

If the Fleury goalkeeper has to withdraw, Mylène Chavas would take over in goal.

Kick-off is at 20:30 as France open their bid to reach the 2027 tournament in Brazil. With 25 players in this camp, Kessya Bussy will be in the Tallaght Stadium stands.
