Strahinja Pavlović admits he thought about Massimiliano Allegri’s instructions before scoring the winning goal for Milan against Roma last night.
The Serbia international scored a decisive goal for the Rossoneri on Sunday as his strike allowed the Serie A giants to secure a 1-0 win over direct rivals Roma.
Mike Maignan also provided crucial help to Milan as he saved a Paulo Dybala penalty in the dying minutes.

“I’m thrilled about this goal and this win,” Pavlovic told Milan TV.
“We’ll go forward and try to win as many games as possible. I like to make these runs. I scored and I’m delighted about it. Everyone is happy for Mike, for the penalty save, we push forward.”

During his post-match interview with DAZN, Pavlovic added (via FCInter198): “While I was running, I thought about what he had told me: when Rafa runs, you have to try to create space and create chances. And that’s exactly what I did.”
“This year, we have many teams competing strongly for the title. It’s going to be tough until the very end. Scoring is something I really enjoy. The coach also appreciates this kind of forward movement and gives me a lot of guidance.”
Pavlovic, 24, has scored two goals in 12 appearances across all competitions this term.
Milan sit second in the table, level on 21 points with Roma and Inter, just one point below leaders Napoli.
The Rossoneri are unbeaten in the last nine league games. They have the second-best defence in Serie A with just seven goals conceded. Only Roma have a better defence, with five goals conceded in ten rounds.
Milan’s next game is away at Parma on Saturday, November 8
