Barcelona star Pedri has confirmed that a fellow member of the club’s squad has already been heavily punished for a lack of punctuality this season.
It is of course common knowledge at this point that new Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has implemented some strict rules on his players since his appointment in the summer.
As much has been confirmed by a number of the Blaugrana’s stars, with the subject of punctuality, time and time again, having come to the fore.
Flick is unwavering in his stance that his players should not be even a solitary minute late for any of team meetings, training sessions, or matchday duties.
And, as alluded to above, this week, another of Barca’s players has opened up on the methods of his new boss.
Speaking during an appearance on ‘Martínez y Hermanos’, Pedri explained:
“If you arrive late, you don’t play, I arrive ten minutes early to the talk so as not to mess it up.”
Questioned on whether there has been an instance of Flick’s punishment being put into action yet this season, the 21-year-old continued:
“Yes, it happened to (Jules) Koundé. He arrived late and he was benched next match.”
